About the Photographer

Foong Wai takes reluctantly to the limiting label of a photographer, although to even the best of her friends it may seem like an obvious connection. She's more like a dilettante, slightly too distractible and irrepressibly curious to want to settle on any particular field. Having said that, she has decided that she is NOT a pumpkin. Or even a chestnut, for now. That much she is certain. Otherwise, the world is simply a terrain where you can chart your own pathway in a dizzying array of possibilities. That she happens to own a camera is but one accessory to her walk of life. That she happens to be reasonably good with it is but due to a practise constantly inspired by the indefatigable awesomeness of the world.

Patterns, light, people, stories, colour, texture, time, change. She may have an obsessive-compulsive disorder in wanting to record all of these moments for her own enjoyment. She shares these photos to show the world its own beauty. Hoping that they drown not like Narcissus, but instead wake from the distorted conception of so-called bling-beauty which has caught people in a miserable daze.

Should you ever have the need to know, her current physical location is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Which makes it supremely cost-effective for any expeditions and adventures in the South East Asia region, as facilitated by AirAsia. If however you require her services beyond this region, she is never one taken to complain about long haul flights and fuselage claustrophobia exacerbated by crying infants. She loves the mountains, bring her there and multiply the worldwide happiness index by a factor of 7.9.

Do your bit of good. :)
